    Get ready for community Fourth of July events in Lacey and Tumwater. Here are the details

    Three annual Fourth of July celebrations attract thousands of people from all over Thurston County every year.

    They are the Lacey Fireworks Spectacular on Wednesday, July 3; the Independence Day Parade in Tumwater on Thursday, July 4; and the Tumwater Family Festival and Nisqually Red Wind Casino Fireworks Show on Thursday.

    Here are the details on each event.

    Lacey Fireworks Spectacular

    The annual Lacey Fireworks Spectacular is always celebrated the day before Independence Day. It is at Rainier Vista Community Park, 5475 45th Ave. SE, Lacey.

    Presented by Lacey Parks, Culture and Recreation, the Lacey Fireworks Spectacular will have live music performances by bands BrickHouse and Mr. Pink, food vendors and more in addition to a fireworks show.

    For younger event-goers, a Kid Zone will have rides, face painting and performances by traveling variety circus Vuelta La Luna.

    The schedule for the Lacey Fireworks Spectacular is as follows:

    • 3 p.m.: Parking lot opens

    • 4 p.m.: Activities open

    • 4:30 p.m.: Vuelta La Luna show

    • 5 p.m.: BrickHouse performance

    • 6 p.m.: Vuelta La Luna show

    • 7:30 p.m.: Welcome ceremony

    • 8 p.m.: Vuelta La Luna show, Mr. Pink’s performance

    • 9:15 p.m.: Kid Zone and activities in covered shelters close

    • 10 p.m.: Fireworks show

    Admission to the Lacey Fireworks Spectacular is free.

    Independence Day Parade

    Tumwater’s annual Independence Day Parade starts at 11 a.m. Thursday.

    Presented by Tumwater Parks and Recreation, the parade will begin at the corner of Capitol Boulevard and Lee Street, move south on Capitol Boulevard to Israel Road, turn west onto Israel Road, pass Tumwater City Hall and end at the Linderson Way and Israel Road intersection.

    The theme of this year’s parade is “Red, White and Boom!” An announcer in front of Tumwater City Hall will announce the award-winning entries as they pass by.

    Tumwater Family Festival & Nisqually Red Wind Casino Fireworks Show

    The annual Tumwater Family Festival and Nisqually Red Wind Casino Fireworks Show is on Thursday on the Tumwater Valley Golf Course driving range.

    Presented by Tumwater Parks and Recreation, the event will have live music performances by DJ K12, performances by aerialist group Wings Aerial Acrobats, games, food vendors and other activities in addition to the fireworks show.

    The schedule for the event is as follows:

    • 6 p.m.: Family activities and food vendors open

    • 6 to 6:40 p.m.: DJ K12 performance

    • 6:40 to 7 p.m.: Wings Aerial Acrobats cirque-style show

    • 7 to 7:30 p.m.: Wings Aerial Acrobats interactive circus play

    • 7:30 to 8 p.m.: DJ K12 performance

    • 8 to 8:20 p.m.: Wings Aerial Acrobats cirque-style show

    • 8:20 to 9 p.m.: DJ K12 performance

    • 9 to 9:20 p.m.: Wings Aerial Acrobats cirque-style show

    • 9:20 to 10 p.m.: DJ K12 performance

    • 10 p.m.: Family activities close

    • 10:05 p.m.: Speech from Tumwater Mayor Debbie Sullivan, National Anthem performance

    • 10:15 p.m.: Nisqually Red Wind Casino Fireworks Show by Alpha Pyrotechnics

    • 10:40 p.m.: DJ K12 performance

    Admission to the event is free, but parking in the lot adjacent to the driving range is $10 per car in cash. Proceeds from parking go to Thurston County Special Olympics.
