    Tupelo Planning Committee requests temporary billboard restrictions

    TUPELO — As the city gears up for significant changes to its code of ordinances, the Tupelo Planning Committee approved a halt to all new billboards in the city.

    The Tupelo Planning Committee voted unanimously to send a formal request to the Tupelo City Council and Mayor to enact a moratorium on billboards being constructed in city limits until the city can make its amendments to signage ordinances.
