    Where's Waldo's? Behind the chicken franchise's rapid growth

    Waldo's Chicken & Beer opened their first brick-and-mortar building in 2019. Since that first Germantown location, the fried chicken champ that touts "delicious food, cold beer, good vibes" has been on a steady growth trajectory across the southeastern United States.

    As they celebrate the opening of their 20th location this month in Tupelo, Mississippi, CEO Mark Waldo sat down with Hadley Hitson to talk about the special sauce behind the brand's growth, which is slated to reach 25 locations by the end of 2024.

    “I think we really had a great idea of scratch-made food, taking something as simple as a chicken tender, but doing it as intensely as we possibly can to make it as perfect as we could,” Waldo said. “How it's evolved into what it is today, I think is really a sum of all the parts of our organization.”
