    NMMC Children's Clinic nurse practitioner shares back to school health information for parents

    TUPELO — As students head back to school across Northeast Mississippi, it's important that children have received their yearly checkup and are up to date on vaccinations.

    Lauren Parrish, a pediatric nurse practitioner at the NMMC Children's Clinic, said her office does well-child checks year-round, but there is typically an influx through the summer, particularly with children entering seventh grade, because of the required Tdap vaccine (tetanus, diphtheria, and acellular pertussis).
