NSDAR members make desserts for Warrior Retreat
BOONVILLE — Members of the General William Floyd Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) got out their baking tins and whipped up some delicious cookies, apple crisp, dessert bars and a patriotic decorated cake for the Sitrin Home’s Warrior Retreat held July 26-28. The chapter members have been providing desserts for this retreat for about eight years.
GLENFIELD NEWS: Better than Bowling and an upcoming dance
The Brantingham Art Council’s 2024 Summer Concert Series is currently underway. Better Than Bowling will perform from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17 at Lily Pond, across from the channel, followed by Infinity from 2-5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24 at Brantingham Lake, off North Shore Road. There is no public seating at either of these venues. The final concert of the season will feature Last Left from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31 in the tent behind Pine Tree Inn; please bring a chair.
