    112th Stanislaus County Fair kicks off on Friday

    (FOX40.COM) — Stanislaus County residents have more than just the Fourth of July to look forward to as the Stanislaus County Fair will kick off its 112th iteration for 10 straight days beginning on Friday.

    The city of Turlock will host the Stanislaus County Fair, which will run from July 5 to July 14, and promises to bring entertainment, concession stands, carnival rides, and more to the entire Stanislaus County community.

    Additionally, Turlock is providing free bus transit to and from the fair throughout the entire month of July as part of an initiative to allow all residents to get an opportunity to “participate in the festivities without transportation barriers.”

    Mayor of Turlock Amy Bublak said, “The Stanislaus County Fair is not just a fun event but a major economic driver for our community.” She continued, “This is a fantastic opportunity for countless individuals from around our region to experience what makes Turlock such a great place to call home.”

    The carnival will operate from 4 p.m. to midnight from Monday to Friday and from noon to midnight on Saturday and Sunday

    The fair’s office hours will operate from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., while the fairgrounds and buildings will be open from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Friday and from noon to midnight on Saturdays and Sundays.

    General admission tickets for those between the ages of 13 and 64 will be $15, $7 for kids aged 7 to 12, and seniors over 65. Children aged 6 and under will be granted free admission. General parking will be priced at $10 per day.

    Additionally, wristbands for the carnival that grant you access from Monday to Friday are on sale for $35, while wristbands for Saturday and Sunday will cost $40.

    Here are some promotions and discounts that fairgoers can take advantage of as the fair runs through the middle of July:

    July 5: Service Members Day, service members with ID’s (active or retired) get in for free

    July 6: Senior Day, fairgoers 65 and up will get free admission along with free Ferris Wheel rides all day

    Sundays: Free entry until 3 p.m. every Sunday

    July 9: Kids Day, Kids 12 and under get in for free all day

    July 10: Christmas in July with Salvation Army, bring one (1) unwrapped, new toy for two carnival ride tickets.
