Slim Chickens Signs 20-Unit Deal Across the Southeast
Slim Chickens has inked a deal with an established multi-unit operator to open twenty new locations in Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia. The group plans to open the first of these new locations in Warner Robins this summer, and will continue to develop additional locations in Macon, Perry, Cornelia and beyond. Slim Chickens opened in 2003 in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and has expanded to over 270 locations in the United States and United Kingdom. The fast casual franchise features dine-in and drive-through in the “better-chicken” segment, offering food with a focus on fresh, delicious ingredients served with Southern flair. Food is cooked to order, with a menu featuring chicken tenders, fresh salads, sandwiches, chicken wings and chicken and waffles served alongside 17 housemade dipping sauces.

The Rabun County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a felony theft by taking case in Clayton. On May 16, 2024, a deputy was dispatched to an address on Highway 441 in Clayton in reference to a theft. The victim stated that she came to see her parents at Oinkers, went inside, and forgot to lock her car. She stayed inside for 30 minutes before coming back outside and noticed that her Louis Vuitton purse, valued at $2,600, was missing. The purse was empty except for $8.
