    Former Alabama DB Khyree Jackson dies in car crash

    MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. ( WIAT ) — Former Alabama defensive back Khyree Jackson was killed in an overnight car crash, announced the Minnesota Vikings .

    Jackson, 24, of Maryland, was drafted by the Vikings with the 108th pick in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. He spent two seasons with the Crimson Tide and made his first career start in the 2021 national championship against Georgia. In his lone season at Oregon, he was an All-Pac-12 selection and started all 12 games.

    The Vikings made the following post Saturday morning:

    “We are devastated by the news of Khyree Jackson’s death following an overnight car accident. Our thoughts are with Khyree’s family, friends, teammates and coaches, as well as all the victims of this tragic accident.”
