    Alabama officially unveils plan to rename field in honor of Nick Saban

    On Friday, the news was made official. The Alabama Crimson Tide football program will rename its field after former head coach Nick Saban. Now, the place where the Crimson Tide plays its home games will be known as Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

    On Sept. 7, the Crimson Tide will honor Saban by renaming the field after him. Alabama will welcome the South Florida Bulls to Tuscaloosa on that weekend.

    Saban is one of the best college football coaches of all-time. During his tenure as the head coach at Alabama, Saban finished with a 201-29 record and finished with a 161-33 record in conference play.
