In 35 days, Kalen DeBoer will usher in a new era of Alabama Crimson Tide football, replacing the legendary Nick Saban as head coach in Tuscaloosa.

Coach DeBoer and the Crimson Tide will take on the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers on Aug. 31 to kick off the 2024 college football season inside Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Ryans won SEC Defensive Player of the Year for his incredible season in 2005 and was recognized as a unanimous first-team All-American.

Ryans is entering his second season as the head coach of the Houston Texans after going 10-7 in his first season as an NFL head coach in 2023.
