Start date announced for Alabama football, Kalen DeBoer fall 2024 camp

A start date has officially been announced for Alabama football 's fall camp ahead of the 2024 season.

The Crimson Tide will begin fall practices on Wednesday, with players set to report to campus on Tuesday, UA officials announced on Monday. The teams' first workout is scheduled for 9:05 a.m. CT on Wednesday.

Alabama opens the season at home a month after it begins fall camp on Aug. 31, hosting Western Kentucky at Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium. It opens SEC play at home just three weeks after that, hosting conference foe Georgia on Sept. 28 in what will be DeBoer's first SEC contest.

DeBoer will officially be making his Alabama coaching debut in what will be the first time in 17 years that Nick Saban will not be at the helm of the Crimson Tide program.
