Gadsden City's Zyan Gibson has burst onto the recruiting scene last spring and this summer, garnering offers from some of the top schools in the country. The Class of 2026 defensive back has an offer sheet headlined by SEC and in-state giants Alabama and Auburn. Tennessee, Texas A&M, Miami, Georgia, LSU, defending champions Michigan and other power conference offers have joined the list. HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — The 13th Annual "Stuff the Bus" campaign is here! Buses will be at drop off sites July 6th from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. in various locations in the Huntsville area. City adding 4 covered pickleball courts near Active Adult Center
CULLMAN, Ala. – Recreation lovers in Cullman will soon to be able to enjoy four new covered pickleball courts. The City of Cullman is set to open the courts in early August. Cullman Parks, Recreation & Sports Tourism Executive Director Nathan Anderson shared, “We appreciate Mayor (Woody) Jacobs for leading the way in building additional courts, and we thank the council for their support. We have been diligently working to meet the growing demand for pickleball courts.”

Lauren Carlson, a recent graduate of the University of Arkansas, has been named director of the schools 25-member varsity squad and the 10-member junior varsity team. Carlson, who is from Fate, Texas (about five miles southwest of Royse City), brings a wealth of cheerleading experience, both as an actual cheerleader and as a high-level instructor, to Jacksonville.
