Former west Alabama mayor faces child porn charge
TUSCALOOSA COUNTY, Ala. (WBRC) - A former west Alabama mayor is now in the Tuscaloosa County Jail. Investigators with the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Department say they arrested 54-year old Paul Calhoun on one count of child pornography. Calhoun served as mayor for Lake View in 2016 but resigned in 2020 over ethics violations, according to city records. Detectives say they received a tip about two weeks ago, alleging the former mayor had ‘thousands of photos’ porn on his electronic devices.
