Martin Lawrence Announces Alabama Tour Stop At The BJCC
Actor and comedian Martin Lawerence announced a new tour that will be coming to the state of Alabama next year. The standup comic and “Bad Boys” Star will kick off his 36-city National Tour on July 20 with stops including Los Angeles, Atlanta, Chicago and Birmingham. The Alabama tour stop is scheduled for Saturday, January 18th at the BJCC.
Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue to Begin Giving Blood to Badly Injured Patients Prehospital
Responders with the Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue service will soon begin administering blood products to people who are critically injured before they go to a hospital. A spokesperson for the fire department said Wednesday that research shows the sooner severely hurt trauma patients who have lost blood receive these treatments, the better their chance of survival.

With the retirement of Alabama head coach Nick Saban, it was expected that some players would transfer out of the program. Alabama's secondary was already set to take a hit, with Kool-Aid McKinstry, Terrion Arnold, and Jaylen Key, all three starters from the 2023 team, going to the NFL.
