A woman who briefly escaped the custody of Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's deputies was recaptured in under 10 minutes after fleeing down 15th Street on foot Thursday morning. 28-year-old Kimberly Nicole Gaines was jailed this week on a Class C felony charge of chemical endangerment of a child, and a spokesperson for the sheriff's office said she fled from custody during a transport Thursday morning.
