HBO’s latest Game of Thrones prequel sure is filling up its tournament rolls.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms has cast several more actors in its forthcoming first season, TVLine has learned. Among them are Edward Ashley ( The Terror , Masters of the Air ), who’ll play Ser Steffon Fossoway; Tom Vaughan-Lawlor (the Avengers films, Dublin Murders ), who’ll play Plummer; and Henry Ashton ( My Lady Jane , Outlander ), who’ll play Daeron Targaryen — a relative of the one you’ve heard about in the most recent season of House of the Dragon .

Also joining the series: Youssef Kerkour (ITV’s Significant Other ) as Steely Pate, Daniel Monks ( Dead Hot ) as Ser Manfred Dondarrion, Shaun Thomas (ITV’s Emmerdale ) as Raymun Fossoway, and Danny Webb ( Pennyworth , The Regime ) as Ser Arlan of Pennytree.

Per the official logline, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is “set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne, and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory” and “great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends.”

In April, the premium cabler announced that Peter Claffey ( Bad Sisters ) will play Dunk, the startlingly tall knight at the center of George R.R. Martin’s novella on which the series is based. Dexter Sol Ansell (ITV’s Emmerdale ) was cast as Egg, Dunk’s bald young squire.

Season 1 will consist of six episodes and is slated to premiere in June 2025. (See first footage here .)

Other previously announced cast members include Sam Spruell ( Fargo ) as Maekar Targaryen, Finn Bennett ( True Detective: Night Country ) as Aerion Targaryen, Bertie Carvel ( The Crown ) as Baelor Targaryen, Daniel Ings ( Sex Education ) as Ser Lyonel Baratheon and Tanzyn Crawford ( Tiny Beautiful Things ) as Tanselle.

Martin, who is an executive producer on the spinoff, has said that it “will be a lot shorter than Game of Thrones or House of the Dragon , with a much different tone … But it’s still Westeros, so no one is truly safe.”
