Huey Lewis will play a fictionalized version of himself in a mockumentary-style series currently in development at Fox, our sister site Deadline reports.

Whatever Happened to Huey Lewis follows the rock ’n’ roll legend as he “navigates his new life after losing his hearing,” per the show’s synopsis. “With the help of his codependent family and eccentric celebrity friends, Huey will tackle this hilarious next phase with his signature Heart and Soul.” (Note: Lewis was diagnosed with Ménière’s disease in 2018).

Kirker Butler ( Only Murders In the Building , Family Guy ) serves as writer and executive producer on the half-hour comedy. Additional EPs include Lewis, Jimmy Kimmel, Aaron Kaplan and Scott Lonker.

* Prime Video has set a Friday, Sept. 27 release date for the new reality series Good Luck Guys , in which 12 influencers must survive on a deserted Malaysian beach while competing in pairs for a cash prize.
