The Gentlemen aren’t bowing out just yet: Netflix has renewed Guy Ritchie’s action-comedy for Season 2, the streamer announced Wednesday.

The show’s stars Theo James and Kaya Scodelario will return for eight episodes, reprising their roles as aristocrat Eddie Horniman and drug empire heiress Susie Glass, respectively. Ritchie is also locked in to return as writer and director, alongside co-writer Matthew Read. Additional cast members will be announced at a later time.

In Season 1, “Eddie Horniman (James) unexpectedly inherits his father’s sizeable country estate only to discover it’s part of a cannabis empire,” reads its official description. “Moreover, a host of unsavory characters from Britain’s criminal underworld want a piece of the operation. Determined to extricate his family from their clutches, Eddie tries to play the gangsters at their own game. However, as he gets sucked into the world of criminality, he begins to find a taste for it.”

The series’ first season also stars Daniel Ings ( I Hate Suzie ), Joely Richardson ( The Sandman ) and Giancarlo Esposito ( Parish ).

“If you’ve found yourself tiring of TV’s endless string of dour crime dramas, consider The Gentlemen a perfect palate cleanser,” writes TVLine’s Rebecca Iannucci . “The stakes get high, but [it] refuses to take itself too seriously.”

In its first week of eligibility on Nielsen’s U.S. ranking of streaming originals, The Gentleman placed second (behind Love is Blind ) with 1.21 billion minutes viewed. The following week, it rose to the top of the streaming originals chart with 1.9 billion minutes viewed. It then lingered on the Top 10 ranking for another five weeks.
