Robert King and Michelle King are diving back into the world of legal dramas for a Silicon Valley-based story that’s currently in development for CBS, TVLine has confirmed.

Tentatively titled Cupertino after the city that houses Apple’s headquarters, the project is described as a “David vs. Goliath legal show” set in the San Francisco Bay Area’s high-tech hub. The Kings are writing the script and executive-producing. Liz Glotzer is also on board as an additional EP.

In other Kings news, they’re also executive-producing Happy Face , starring James Wolk and Annaleigh Ashford. The series is based on the true story of Melissa Moore, a girl who was 15 when she learned her father was a murderer known as “Happy Face.” The eight-episode first season is slated to premiere on Paramount+ in 2025.

The duo’s Paramount+ supernatural drama Evil recently ended its four-season run. TVLine readers gave the Aug. 22 series finale an average grade of “B,” while the farewell season as a whole earned an “A-.”

The married writing partners are also known for creating and executive-producing The Good Wife , which aired on CBS for seven seasons and won five Emmys. It produced a successful franchise thanks to its two offshoots : The Good Fight , which served as the first original series to launch on Paramount+ predecessor CBS All Access, and the popular crime procedural Elsbeth , which begins its second season Oct. 17 on CBS.

Deadline was first to report the news.
