Tim Robinson has officially found a new place to sit.

HBO has handed a series order to The Chair Company , a new half-hour comedy from the I Think You Should Leave star, TVLine has learned. Robinson will co-create the series with his ITYSL writing partner Zach Kanin and star as William Ronald Trosper, who “finds himself investigating a far-reaching conspiracy” following “an embarrassing incident at work,” per the official synopsis.

“With an imprint only Tim and Zach can have on a character, William Ronald Trosper follows in the strong tradition of HBO comedy leads,” the network’s executive vice president of comedy programming Amy Gravitt said in a statement. “I couldn’t be happier to announce the pickup of this wildly enjoyable show.”

HBO first ordered a pilot for The Chair Company back in April. The cast also includes Lake Bell ( Harley Quinn ) as Barb Trosper, Sophia Lillis ( I Am Not Okay With This ) as Natalie Trosper, Will Price ( Goosebumps ) as Seth Trosper, Joseph Tudisco ( Law & Order ) as Mike Santini and Lou Diamond Phillips ( Prodigal Son ) as Jeff Levjman.

Robinson currently stars in the Netflix sketch comedy I Think You Should Leave , which he co-created with Kanin. It last aired in May 2023, with no official word yet on if it will return for a fourth season. Robinson also served as a cast member and writer on Saturday Night Live from 2012 to 2016 and starred with Sam Richardson in the Comedy Central series Detroiters .
