The 2024 Emmys are right around the corner. If you’re a cord-cutter hoping to tune into the annual awards ceremony, you need not fret! There are plenty of ways to watch the 2024 Emmys online, and we’re breaking everything down below.
The 2024 Emmys, hosted by the father-son duo of Eugene and Dan Levy, will take place live on Sunday, Sept. 15, at 8/7c from the Peacock Theater at L.A. Live in Los Angeles. The ceremony, which comes just eight months after the strikes-delayed 2023 Emmys aired in January, will be broadcast on ABC.
If you don’t have cable and want to tune into the show, you’ll need to sign up for a live-TV streaming service that includes ABC. But remember, ABC is only offered in select markets, so ALWAYS make sure it’s available in your area before signing up. Keep scrolling to get the best live-TV streaming options for watching the 2024 Emmys without cable — some of which offer free trials so you can even watch the ceremony for free.
( Note: ABC is only available in select markets. Always confirm that your area is eligible for ABC before signing up for a live-TV streaming service. )
How to Watch 2024 Emmys Online Without Cable: Sling TV
If you want to virtually attend the 2024 Emmys ceremony, you can sign up for Sling. The service offers three subscription options, but we recommend Sling Blue since it’s the cheapest option that offers ABC in select markets. And, Sling Blue is on sale right now for half off your first month! That means you can sign up for the $45/month subscription for just $22.50. You can cancel your subscription anytime, making this a low-commitment and cost-effective way to watch the 2024 Emmy Awards online without cable.
DirecTV Stream offers a five-day free trial and a few different subscription options for a variety of prices so you can choose whichever fits your budget. The Choice package is the most popular and offers ABC in certain markets now that the carriage dispute between DirecTV and Disney has been resolved. With the Choice plan, you also get access to over 100 other channels for $108.99/month. But right now, DirecTV Stream is offering $20 off each month for your first three months. That means you’ll only have to pay $88.99/month for three months of this live-TV streaming service. More good news? Since the service offers a five-day free trial, you can sign up right before the ceremony begins and cancel it after it ends to watch the 2024 Emmys online for free!
Looking for another way to watch the 2024 Emmy Awards online for free? Check out Fubo . This live-TV streaming service offers new users a seven-day free trial and its Pro plan grants subscribers access to ABC. With the $79.99/month Pro subscription, you also get access to over 175 other channels. More good news? You can cancel and change your plan at any time, making Fubo another easy way for watching the Emmys online for free.
The Hulu + Live TV subscription is one of the more expensive options for watching the Emmys without cable, ringing in at $76.99/month. With that being said, you get a lot of content with this bundle subscription. You not only gain access to ABC, but also the entire Hulu streaming library, ESPN+ and Disney+. This is a comprehensive packing for addressing all you cord-cutter needs.
The awards show will kick Sunday, Sept. 15, at 8/7c on ABC with a ceremony held at the Peacock Theater at L.A. Live in Los Angeles.
