In a tricky and socially political game like Survivor , players’ patience is often tested by the loud personalities they find themselves surrounded by. In this week’s episode, Tiyana finds herself struggling between emotion and gameplay when a strong personality clash upends the peace on the Tuku tribe. But does she wind up listening to her head or her heart? And who attempts a food heist during this week’s immunity challenge? Let’s take it all from the top!

CAUGHT IN THE ACT | Lavo’s Rome is a prime example of a dude who’s doing too much . Not only is he aggravating a number of his fellow castaways, but he makes what he thinks is a good move by telling Teeny about his idol. What does she do? She immediately tells Kishan about it, brings Kishan to show him the box and gets caught red-handed by Rome! (Super cringe, but we love the mess, right?) Rome takes the idol good for one Tribal, and kinda-sorta makes an alliance with Teeny and Kishan? What a blunder for Teeny. Now Rome knows he shouldn’t trust her. I think it’s pretty safe to say that the first Lavo vote is going to be a SHOW.

Meanwhile at Tuku, TK, who formerly aligned with Gabe and Kyle, brings Tiyana into their alliance. Gabe, he feels, has become erratic; Tiyana is good at the social game, which TK sees as an asset. He wants to target Sue should they lose, but Gabe has other things in mind. He wants to work with Sue and Caroline in order to flip the majority and hold all the power.

GATA LOVE ANDY | Over on Team Yellow’s beach, Andy is desperate to connect with his tribemates, and the ways they’re trying to make him feel included are worthy of a few (hundred) eyerolls. After Andy boo-hooed last week about no one celebrating his coconuts (I can’t believe I even typed that), the team makes a meal out of cheering for his new and “perfect coconut.” While everyone awards him a participation trophy, behind the scenes, Anika says Andy’s demeanor is giving “toxic clingy boyfriend.” Hey, she said it! (I just thought it.)

Despite Sam being on “Andy duty,” he leaves the guy alone for a few minutes, giving the “easy boot” time to search the jungle. Andy finds that pesky little parchment, but decides to leave it behind for when the time is right. Or something. I can’t wrap my head around that! You’re either playing to win, or you’re not. The rules prevent him from moving or hiding the beware advantage, but leaving it around for someone else to find? Ack!

Because that’s exactly what happens! Sam finds it while on a hunt with Anika, and later tells Sierra all about it. He also tells Rachel (only because he correctly guesses Anika will), which is smart of him to get ahead of. But four people knowing about an idol? Less than ideal, but finding the advantage with Anika tied Sam’s hands. When he finally finds the key, he keeps the single-Tribal idol. He mentions to Sierra that he wants to use the idol on Andy of all people, and my brain is just as perplexed as Sierra’s face looks.

IMMUNITY IS BACK UP FOR GRABS | A tower! A maze! A key! A ball course! With immunity and some fishing kits on the line, Gata finishes first with Lavo right behind them, sending Tuku to Tribal Council. Gotta love Rachel trying to smuggle rice out of the challenge, though. Probst calls her out before sending Gata on their way, but what’s the saying? Better to beg for forgiveness than ask for permission? If there’s no rule against it, you’ve gotta go for it. Love the attempt. A+ effort, Rachel!

TUKU GOES TO WAR | Despite being aligned with him, Tiyana doesn’t seem like she can stand TK, which Gabe smartly picks up on. TK’s lack of sportsmanship (and the fact that he more or less called them all losers after the challenge) rubs Tiyana the wrong way. Kyle tries to mend fences between them. TK apologizes. Tiyana plays it cool, but still doesn’t seem to like the dude. But… she says she’s fine working with people she doesn’t like if it could advance her game. TK pitches a Sue vote to anyone who will listen, and Gabe is happy to let him think he’s on board.

But on the other side of things, Sue tries to convince Tiyana to vote TK out with her, Caroline and Gabe. But will they be able to pull off this “epic girl boss move?”

THE TRIBE HAS SPOKEN | Sue tells Jeff that there’s a very divided line between the men and the women on Tuku. Not only that, but the women are on the bottom. Kyle tries to diplomatically deflect, while Gabe goes off about wanting to be Indiana Jones or something. TK repeats his point about not becoming complacent with losing (though he says it way nicer this time around). As thunder booms, it’s time to vote and for Tiyana to get off the fence. As she votes, she repeats to herself, “My instinct is never wrong.”

Gabe plays his idol for himself, and when Jeff tallies the votes, TK becomes the second player voted out of Survivor 47 . (Read our exit interview with TK here .) Did Tiyana’s instinct steer her in the right direction? We’ll find out next week!

So did the right person go home? Go full tilt boogie in the comments and let us know!
