Tracker continues to find a beefy audience.

The CBS drama’s Season 2 premiere on Sunday night drew 8.3 million total viewers (in Live+Same Day), up 9% from its freshman finale to mark its most-watched episode since its aprés-Super Bowl launch in February.

What’s more, Tracker delivered the most-watched, regularly scheduled broadcast premiere in three years, since NCIS opened Season 19 (aka Mark Harmon’s swan song as Gibbs) in September 2021.

TVLine readers gave Tracker ‘s Season 2 opener an average grade of “A”; read our post mortem Q&A with star/EP Justin Hartley .

Tracker now holds the title of this fall’s most-watched premiere, edging out CBS’ Sept. 22 Matlock sneak preview (which drew 7.7 mil in a special Sunday time slot). Matlock (finally) returns with its second episode this Thursday at 9/8c, in its regular time slot.

Including its Super Bowl-inflated series premiere, Tracker ‘s 13-episode freshman run averaged 8.3 million viewers. With Live+7 playback, Season 1 averaged 10.8 million viewers, which was good enough to lead all scripted programs in total audience last TV season.

The Live+Same Day numbers reported in TVLine’s daily-ish ratings column do NOT reflect a television program’s overall performance, given the increased use of delayed playback via DVR and streaming platforms, plus out-of-home viewing. These numbers instead aim to simply illustrate trends or superlatives. This is only an exhibition, this is not a competition. Please, no wagering.
