One day you’re in, and the next day you’re out… until you’re back in at a new channel.

Project Runway will move to Freeform for Season 21 in 2025, the network announced on Thursday. The host, judges and premiere date for the 10-episode season will be announced at a later date.

Project Runway is an iconic television juggernaut that perfectly complements the pop-culture spirit at Freeform,” said Simran Sethi, the president of scripted programming for Hulu Originals and ABC Entertainment. “We are excited to welcome the original series to the Disney family and reignite the fanbase alongside Spyglass [Media Group] and Alfred Street [Industries], giving viewers the chance to once again share in discovering the next generation of exceptionally talented fashion designers.”

Producer Dan Cutforth said in a statement that the move will evolve the series “for a new generation.” Producer Jane Lipsitz added that the refresh will “honor our die-hard Project Runway fans” while also introducing new and innovative ideas.

Originally hosted by Heidi Klum, Project Runway debuted in 2004 on Bravo, where it stayed for five seasons before moving to Lifetime. In 2019, the series returned to Bravo, with Karlie Kloss replacing Klum as host, and Season 4 winner Christian Siriano replacing Tim Gunn as mentor. Project Runway Season 20 wrapped in September 2023.

In addition to Siriano, the competition series has helped launch the careers of prolific designers, including Austin Scarlett, Leanne Marshall, Irina Shabayeva, Michael Costello and Bishme Cromartie.
