Stay on this page to find out when Season 8 will premiere and see the new team.</p><h2><b>Is Season 8</b> <b><i>S.W.A.T.’</i></b><b>s Last?</b></h2><p>CBS keeps trying to cancel <i>S.W.A.T.</i> but fans of the show refuse to let it die. The show has already faced cancellation twice but survived each time. Star Shemar Moore led the battle cry after it was abruptly canceled in 2023 after six seasons on the air. The network reversed its decision and renewed it for one final season.</p><p>But fans once again rallied and CBS decided to <a href="https://tvshowsace.com/2024/03/16/shemar-moore-keeps-hope-alive-for-more-s-w-a-t-seasons/">bring the show back</a> for Season 8, which will premiere this fall. Is Season 8 the last? The show hasn’t been canceled for a third time, but it hasn’t been renewed either. They did what they could to wrap up the various storylines and that meant writing off several characters.</p><p>Fan-favorite Jim Street (Alex Russell) was transferred to the Long Beach <i>S.W.A.T.</i> team. The team will have at least one familiar face – Jay Harrington returns as Deacon.
