Earlier this year, residents living near Maplewood Park off of 12th Avenue noticed something unusual growing in the area, but thought that it was just hogweed. Georgetown Township parks officials began monitoring the situation, and around the Independence Day holiday, it was determined that the growth was actually poison hemlock, and warning signs were posted for the park and the adjacent splash pad.

Country artist postpones sold-out concert at Meijer Gardens
GRAND RAPIDS, MI – A sold-out concert that was scheduled for tonight at Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park was postponed last-minute. Country singer Charley Crockett canceled his show that was scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, at the Meijer Gardens Amphitheater.
