TYLER, Texas ( KETK ) — Former John Tyler (Tyler High) football standout and NFL free agent Tyus Bowser held his annual youth football camp at the Tyler High School indoor facility Saturday.

Tyus Bowser continues to give back to his hometown

Bowser was all smiles as he took the time to coach up local kids in football and also instill words of wisdom and life lessons.

Bowser, who starred as an outside linebacker for the University of Houston, spent seven years with the Baltimore Ravens.

He’s missed 25 games over the past two seasons due to a lingering knee injury but he’s worked hard in his recovery and hopes to get back in the game soon.

Bowser said he’s grateful at the end of the day to give back to the Tyler community and provide an opportunity for local kids to come out and take part in his football camp.
