TYLER, Texas ( KETK ) – Bubba’s 33 has announced that their Tyler and Longview locations will be raising money to help construct a custom built home for a veteran from July 4 through July 31.

The restaurants are partnering with Homes For Our Troops in order to help with the construction of a specially adapted custom home in New Braunfels for Marine LCpl Alberto Flores Jr. and his family. According to a press release, Flores had his right leg amputated above the knee after being severely injured in Iraq.

“We’re incredibly proud to celebrate the construction of the 400th home for our severely injured veterans,” said Mario Sosa, Bubba’s 33 managing partner. “As a long-time partner of Homes For Our Troops, this milestone reflects our unwavering commitment to giving back to veterans like Lance Corporal Flores who give so much for our country. It’s an honor to support our heroes and contribute to building strong communities where they can thrive.”

The company said they’ll be donating $1 to Homes For Our Troops for every Patriot Burger sold from July 4 through July 31. The cost for Flores’ home will be completely underwritten by Bubba’s 33, according to a press release.
