Tyler prepares for the 91st annual Rose Festival

TYLER, Texas ( KETK ) – KETK is the home for the 91st Annual Texas Rose Festival and the countdown begins!

The festival is only three months away and organizers were excited to kick off this year’s events.

“This is our 91st year celebrating Tyler and promoting the local rose industry and expressing our civic pride,” Bill Evans, president of Texas Rose Festival, said.

The 2024 Rose Princess, Merritt Dial and Duchess of the Rose Growers, Alice Milton expressed their excitement for the festivities in October.

“This week is just getting us prepared for October and we are just celebrating Tyler and everything that it has to offer,” Dial said.

The 2024 Rose Queen Frances Olivia Faulconer told KETK that its great to celebrate after a week of coronation practice.

“Its long but its so worth it to meet everyone. I got to meet some many wonderful people that are involved,” Faulconer said.

Faulconer took the time to welcome out of town guests, sponsors and others who make this all possible

“It’s all volunteer bases and sponsored based, so I tried to emphasize them and what they do,” Faulconer said.

The Queen’s Tea and the Rose Parade on October 19th.

Tickets will go on sale for the events starting in September.
