Daily Rain and an August Heat Wave
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) -Daily showers will continue through the weekend, although we’ll expect to see isolated to scattered chances like today. During this period, central Virginia is expected to receive half an inch to an inch and a half of rain, with localized high amounts. As well as a very low end risk of severe storms, and any severe storms will likely produce downpour and gusty wind threats. Rain aside, the next big thing is the heat. We’ve seen a return to the 90′s with heat index values in the low 100′s. That will be the cast as we head into the weekend and next week. Will be keeping an eye out for likely heat advisories.
