UPDATE: Lindsay Road Closed at Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) This Weekend (Oct. 4-7)

PHOENIX - The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) has announced a full closure of Lindsay Road at Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) this weekend, from 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, to 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7.

The closure is necessary for bridge work, though the Loop 202 on- and off-ramps at Lindsay Road will remain open. ADOT advises drivers to plan ahead, allow extra time for travel, and use caution in construction zones.

Detours for Lindsay Road:

• Northbound Detour: Drivers heading north on Lindsay Road should use eastbound Germann Road to northbound Val Vista Drive, then westbound Pecos Road, or westbound Germann Road to northbound Gilbert Road, followed by eastbound Pecos Road to rejoin Lindsay Road north of the closure.
• Southbound Detour: Drivers heading south on Lindsay Road may use eastbound Pecos Road to southbound Val Vista Drive, then westbound Germann Road, or westbound Pecos Road to southbound Gilbert Road, followed by eastbound Germann Road to access Lindsay Road south of the closure.

Additional Restrictions (Oct. 4-7):

• Arizona Avenue: Northbound Arizona Avenue will be reduced to two lanes, and southbound will be limited to one lane from 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, to 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7, for bridge work.
• Loop 202 (Santan Freeway): Both east- and westbound Loop 202 will be reduced to two lanes between the Lindsay Road on- and off-ramps during the same time period.

Weeknight Closures (Through - Oct. 5):

• Arizona Avenue Closure: Northbound Arizona Avenue will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., beginning Tuesday, Oct. 1, and ending on Saturday, Oct. 5. Loop 202 on- and off-ramps at Arizona Avenue (SR 87) will remain open.
• Loop 202 Rolling Closures: Rolling lane closures will be implemented on eastbound Loop 202 between Loop 101 (Price Freeway) and Williams Field Road nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. until the morning of Thursday, Oct. 3.

Upcoming Closures (Oct. 7-9):

• Northbound Lindsay Road: Closed at Loop 202 from 9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7, to 5 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8.
• Southbound Lindsay Road: Closed at Loop 202 from 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, to 5 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9.

A rolling lane closure is a traffic control method where lanes are temporarily and sequentially closed to manage traffic flow while allowing road work to progress along a stretch of roadway.
