Eddie Collins Memorial Park Pool receives state grant
MILLERTON- Memorial Park in Millerton is the recipient of a state grant for the construction of a swimming pool and pool house at the park. This funding will allow the Millerton Park Committee to complete phase two of their plan to revitalize Eddie Collins Memorial Park, which has long served as a hub for recreation, sports, summer camp, and community events.

The 2024 Millbrook Horse Trials kicked off yesterday with lower level dressage at Riga Meadow Equestrian Center at Coole Park in Millbrook, NY. There are more than 400 total entries competing at Millbrook, from Beginner Novice to Advanced level. Residents displaced after fire on Liberty Street in Newburgh
NEWBURGH – Several residents were displaced after a fire at 103 Liberty Street in Newburgh on Thursday night. The blaze at the four-story building was reported at 8:08 p.m. Fire crews identified a strong odor of smoke on the upper three floors, which led to the discovery of a small fire in a bedroom on the third floor. The fire was quickly put out using a single sprinkler, limiting the spread of the fire and smoke damage to the building.

State Senator George Borrello presented the New York State Historic Business award to Meeders Restaurant in Ripley to celebrate their incorporation into New York State's Historic Business Preservation Registry.
