ULSTER, Pa. ( WETM ) – An Ulster woman has been sentenced to serve time in the Bradford County Correctional Facility after being convicted of several crimes in Bradford County.

According to the Bradford County District Attorney’s Office, Melissa D. Hall, 37, was sentenced to a minimum of six months and a maximum of up to two years, followed by two years of probation after she was found guilty of several crimes that occurred through 2023 and 2024. These crimes include resisting arrest, false reports to law enforcement and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Hall was first charged in August of 2023 following an investigation by Pennsylvania State Police on the charge of criminal trespass among other related offenses out of Sheshequin Township. She was then charged again later that month after she provided false reports to PSP about state police officers using drugs and sexually assaulting her when she was taken into custody on the criminal trespass charge. Hall later admitted under oath that she had lied and that the story wasn’t true.

Hall was then charged with the criminal possession of drug paraphernalia charge after she was taken to the correctional facility on the above-listed charges. At this time, correctional officers at the facility found a hidden syringe on Hall during a strip search. The syringe had a liquid in it that Hall told officers “could be meth, or it could be heroin.”

Hall was later charged with resisting arrest after she came to the Bradford County Sheriff’s Office in February of 2024 to check on papers that she had previously filed. At this time, Hall was unaware that she had a bench warrant issued for her arrest after failure to appear for a court proceeding for her previous charges. When she was confronted by deputies, Hall resisted arrest in both the lobby of the sheriff’s office and on her way to the transport vehicle outside.

Hall is currently at the Bradford County Correctional Facility where she awaits trial on an additional criminal trespass charge in connection to an incident that occurred in May of 2024. In this case, Hall is accused of entering a home in Sheshequin Township without permission. She is set to go to trial in September.
