123Herbals LLC has announced a voluntary nationwide recall of all lots of Vail-Bon Jie Yang Wan capsules due to the presence of undeclared drug ingredients, dexamethasone and chlorpheniramine. The recall affects products sold online, including through major retailers like Amazon, and is being conducted at the consumer level.

The capsules, which are marketed as a treatment for skin diseases such as eczema and itching, contain dexamethasone, a powerful corticosteroid, and chlorpheniramine, an antihistamine. Neither ingredient was listed on the product label, making the capsules an unapproved new drug.

    Health Risks of Undeclared Ingredients
Dexamethasone can cause severe side effects, including adrenal suppression, weight gain, elevated blood glucose, increased infection risks, and psychiatric effects. In severe cases, prolonged use can lead to life-threatening conditions. Chlorpheniramine, when taken in higher-than-intended doses, can cause drowsiness, seizures, or loss of coordination, particularly in sensitive individuals.

While no adverse events have been reported to date, 123Herbals urges consumers to stop using the product immediately and consult their healthcare provider if they experience any side effects.

    Affected Product Details:

    • Product Name: Vail-Bon Jie Yang Wan
    • Packaging: 30-count plastic bottles
    • All Lots and Expiration Dates
The product was distributed nationwide via 123Herbals.com and other online retailers.

    What Consumers Should Do
Consumers in possession of the recalled capsules are advised to stop using them immediately and return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. For customers who purchased directly from the company’s website, returns should be sent to:
    123Herbals.com
    300 West Valley Blvd. P.O. Box 1925
    Alhambra, CA 91803

Consumers with questions can contact 123Herbals at 1-626-656-3202 or via email at 123Herbals@gmail.com. Health care providers and consumers are also encouraged to report any adverse effects to the FDA’s MedWatch Adverse Event Reporting program.

This recall is being conducted with the full knowledge and oversight of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
