Popular Milk Brand Faces Nationwide Recall Due to Undeclared Allergen

HP Hood LLC has issued a voluntary nationwide recall of select 96 oz containers of Lactaid Milk due to the potential presence of almond, a tree nut allergen not declared on the label. Consumers with almond allergies may face serious or life-threatening reactions if they consume these products.

The affected Lactaid Milk products, shipped between September 5 and September 18, 2024, were distributed to retailers in multiple states, including AL, CO, CT, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, NE, NJ, NY, OH, OK, PA, TX, VA, WI, and WY. No illnesses have been reported at this time.

Customers who have purchased the recalled Lactaid products should check for the code 51-4109 P2 and the Best By Date found in the center-top area of the container.
