Access to Treasure Island is currently restricted as recovery efforts continue in the wake of Hurricane Helene. According to a press release sent out this morning, to enter the island, individuals must present either a Re-Entry Permit or a photo ID, along with proof of residence or legitimate business on the island.

Acceptable documents include vehicle registration, property tax records, utility bills, or proof of employment, such as a pay stub, work ID, or work orders. Contractors with valid work orders are also permitted to enter.

For those accessing Sunset Beach, entry is only allowed by foot. No vehicles, including contractor vehicles, are permitted on the beach until further notice.

For more information, residents and business owners should stay tuned for updates from local authorities.
