    Louisiana Tech Saves Tie Against Grambling; ULM and NSU On The Pitch Over Weekend

    Grambling 3, Louisiana Tech 3 (Women)(Sunday)

    Louisiana Tech (0-1-3) had to comeback from two goals down in the second half to salvage a tie at home against the Grambling Lady Tigers (2-1-2).

    Jayla Gage nailed her fourth goal of the season for Grambling. Naiya Singleton and Kennedy Farr also scored for the Lady Tigers. Grambling outshot Lousiana Tech 16-10. Gage was the top shot taker for the Lady Tigers. Madison Covey-Taylor snagged 3 saves.

    Shreveport’s Kalli Matlock scored two penalty kick goals for the Bulldogs. Maeva Constenaro added another goal for Tech. Matlock was also the top shooter with 3. Sarah Melen had 3 saves.

    Grambling scored the first goal late in the first half when Charlotte Culbertson and Ronya Halleen helped give Naiya Singleton the scoring shot in the 37th minute. Almost three minutes later, Kennedy Farr scored to push the Tiger lead to 2-0. Tech had a penalty kick opportunity in the 41st minute which Kalli Matlock scored the first goal of the season. Grambling took the 2-1 lead into halftime.

    Grambling jumped back to a two goal lead when Jayla Gage scored in the 52nd minute. The Lady Bulldogs closed the gap when Maeva Costenaro scored in the 58th minute. Grambling looked to snag a win over the in parish rivals but Matlock was awarded another penalty kick in the 76th minute and tied the match at 3-3. The two would remain knotted at 3 to the end.

    ULM 4, Nicholls 0 (Women) (Sunday)

    The Lady Warhawks (4-0) made it four in a row as they shutout the Nicholls Lady Colonels at home on Sunday evening. The Warhawks were led with two goals from Emelie Cobler. Jensyn Lins and Kai Douglas also contributed goals in the win. Skyler Blaise was contributed an assist. The Warhawks handly outshot the Colonels 17-3.

    The lone goal in the first half came from Kobler in the 24th minute. ULM had the 1-0 lead halftime.

    Kobler struck again with a penalty kick goal in the 58th minute. Skyler Blaise found Jensyn Lins in the 65th minute to take the 3-0 lead for ULM. Kai Douglas scored her second goal of the season in the 89th minute on another penalty goal kick for the 4-0 final score.

    Arkansas 10, NSU 0 (Women) (Sunday

    NSU (0-3-0) continued the Power 5 road trip but the Razorbacks were not good hosts in Fayetteville with 10-0 match. The stingy Arkansas squad only allowed 1 shot for the Lady Demons as the Razorback fired 47. NSU was not allowed a shot in the second half. The lone shot came from Jessica Spitzer. Libe Banuelos had 8 saves for NSU. Kennedy Rist collected 6 saves.

    Emma Johns and Bella Field each had two goals for the Razorbacks. Ava Tankersley, Cora Hair, Kate Doyle, Van Fitch, Kyndal Ewertz, and Sophia Aragon all added goals for Arkansas.
