Water line break closes Eglin Street: Rapid City traffic detours
RAPID CITY, S.D. - Eglin Street is closed from Dyess Avenue to Lowry Lane due to a water line break. Traffic is detoured onto Beale Street. Four businesses in the area are experiencing water service disruptions. While there is no estimated time for the completion of repairs or restoration of water service, crews expect to work on the repairs throughout most of Friday. Drivers should use the detour route and allow for additional travel time.
‘First Responders Night’ supports team of volunteer first responders

Winner Man Sentenced to 25 Years for Third-Degree Rape Against a "Vulnerable Member of our Society"
{KXLG – Winner, SD} South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley announced that Lionel Lee Eagle Hawk, 38, has been sentenced to 25 years in prison, with ten years suspended, after pleading guilty to Third-Degree Rape of a person incapable of giving consent. The sentencing took place on Wednesday in Tripp County Circuit Court.

BARKSDALE AFB, La. – Multiple crew failures, severe winter weather, and wind shear led to the fiery January crash of a B-1 bomber at Ellsworth AFB on January 4, 2024 according to a report released Thursday by Air Force Global Strike Command. The crash resulted in the complete loss of the $450 million aircraft, although all four crew members ejected safely, with two sustaining injuries.
