Tennessee to receive nearly $31.7M in new defense outlay
(The Center Square) — Tennessee could receive nearly $31.7 million to fund construction projects in the new defense appropriation that recently passed the U.S. House of Representatives. The biggest outlays for the Volunteer State would be for Arnold Air Force Base near Tullahoma. The base is the home of the Arnold Engineering Complex, which has 58 wind tunnels and other test facilities. Suspect in Holly Bobo's murder sentenced to over 20 years on firearm offenses
JACKSON, Tenn. - Jason Autry, a 16-time convicted felon, was in possession of a rifle, a handgun and ammunition in December 2020, according to the United States Department of Justice (DOJ). The DOJ said that Autry pled guilty to three counts of being a felon in possession of firearms and ammunition. He was sentenced to 279 months in federal prison on Tuesday. There is no parole in the federal prison system.
