UC Amateur Radio Club Hosting Field Day June 22-23
MARYSVILLE – Ham radio operators from the Union County Amateur Radio Club (UCARC) in Marysville will be participating in a national amateur radio exercise from 2pm on Saturday until 2pm on Sunday, June 22nd – 23rd. at Keckley Rural Life Center located west of Marysville at 20965 Bear Swamp Rd. The event is ARRL Field Day (www.arrl.org/FieldDay), an annual amateur radio activity organized since 1933 by ARRL, The National Association for Amateur Radio in the United States.

Bellefontaine man facing decades in prison for gun threat
MARYSVILLE – A Bellefontaine man could be facing more than three decades in prison after allegedly putting a gun to his ex-wife’s head. The Union County Grand Jury has indicted Joshua Glen Perdue, 43, charging him with two counts of felonious assault and one count each of kidnapping, domestic violence, aggravated menacing, improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle and operating a vehicle under the influence.
