White Deer, Pa. — A traffic stop on Interstate 80 led to the arrest of an Ohio man who was hauling a large quantity of marijuana.

Kenneth Jerome Williams, 41, of Oakwood Village, Ohio, was pulled over for speeding shortly after noon May 20 on I-80 in Union County. Trp. Luke Hook of state police at Milton says when he approached Williams' vehicle, he smelled a strong odor of marijuana. Hook noticed marijuana shake on the driver's side and passenger seats of the car, according to the affidavit.

Police applied for a search warrant for the vehicle and found: 16 plastic baggies containing marijuana residue; 33 plastic baggies of leaf marijuana; glass charge with 284 grams of THC wax; two plastic jars containing THC wax; a plastic bag with 19 THC joints; two large one-pound bags containing marijuana residue; one empty vacuum sealed bag; two glass containers with marijuana residue, according to the affidavit.

Williams was charged with two felony counts of manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to deliver and related misdemeanor possession charges. District Judge Jeffrey Mensch set bail at $75,000. Williams' preliminary hearing is set for June 11 at Mensch's office.
