Union County man arrested for possession of child porn

Mifflinburg, Pa. — A Union County man was arrested last week on 10 felony counts of possession of child pornography.

Law enforcement served a warrant on July 18 at the home of Aaron Reed Kahley, 35, of Lewis Township, after receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

State Police at Milton say Kahley was using social media when he possessed and transmitted the child sexual abuse material. The charges date back from the first incident on Aug. 29, 2022.

Members of the PSP Bureau of Criminal Investigation Northeast Computer Crime Task Force seized electronic devices from Kahley's home and conducted a forensic examination.

On-call District Judge Scott A. Zeigler arraigned Kahley and set bail at $50,000. Kahley remains in Union County Prison awaiting his preliminary hearing set for Aug. 20 at District Judge Jeffrey Mensch's office.
