Union Education Assoc. to Host Annual Town-Wide Block Party

UNION, NJ - A "Town-Wide Block Party", hosted by the Union Township Education Association (UTEA), is set for Tuesday, August 13, in Rabkin Park for all Union residents.

"The UTEA tries to find ways to interact with our community," said Ann Margaret Shannon, UTEA President.  “The UTEA is excited to mingle and share music, fun, games and a meal with our community."

The fun will include music by a DJ, children’s games and bouncy houses, and a health fair featuring Optical Academy, Zumba, kickboxing, and yoga.

Cuisine from local restaurants, including Cafe Z, Cioffi's, Cozy Corner, Johnny Napkins, Mama’s BBQ, and Qsina 8 will be available.  Residents five years and up will receive a $10 food voucher (while supplies last).  Visitors are asked to bring food to donate to the food pantry and to bring lawn chairs.

The event, in partnership with the Township of Union, the Union Township Transportation Association, the Union Fire Department, the Union Police Department, the Union Recreation Department, and Optical Academy, will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Rabkin Park.
