Loyalty Lodge Car Wash Benefits Union's Boy and Girl Scouts

UNION, NJ – The warm weather helped all the volunteers stay cool at Saturday morning's car wash at Loyalty Lodge 33.

“One of my incentives this year is to open the lodge up to the community,” said Lodge President Aneil Chetram.

“We want to bring the community to our lodge.  This is one of the first events we’ve hosted. We wanted to help the Boy and Girls Scouts and are having a great morning.”  The Loyalty Lodge is located at 1912 Morris Avenue.

“We need funding throughout the year to pay for items like patches, the pine wood derby, material for activities during our meetings and equipment for camping trips,” said Kate Rahal, Scout committee chair.  “This kind of event helps pay for those types of things, and we are grateful.”
