Union Extends Summer Concert Series

UNION, NJ - A surprise announcement was made before the start of Thursday night's Union Summer Concert Series performance: The township will be hosting two additional shows as part of the series.

The first will be a performance by The Benjamins on Thursday, Aug. 8. The Benjamins, established in 1999, are a live music act known for their blend of classic and modern styles of rock, punk, alternative, and pop music. The band has also appeared on TV and radio and performed at major venues including Madison Square Garden and the Prudential Center. They have also opened for acts including The Goo Goo Dolls and Cheap Trick.

They will be followed by Austin City Night , a modern country cover band, on Thursday, Aug. 22. Their sample set list includes songs such as "Wagon Wheel" by Darius Rucker, "Friends in Low Places" by Garth Brooks, "You Belong With Me" by Taylor Swift, "Before He Cheats" by Carrie Underwood, and "Cruise" by Florida Georgia Line.
