Adams, Hochul, Lander Announce $500M Investment For Affordable Housing In New York City
New York City Mayor Eric Adams, New York Governor Kathy Hochul, and New York City Comptroller Brad Lander made an announcement today. They announced that a $500 million investment from the Battery Park City Authority’s Joint Purpose Fund to build and maintain affordable housing across New York City. Through an agreement between Mayor Adams, the Battery Park City Authority (BPCA), and Comptroller Lander, BPCA will disburse $500 million in excess operating funds to New York City’s Affordable Housing Accelerator Fund for the purpose of building affordable housing. The agreement builds on commitments by Mayor Adams, Governor Hochul, and Comptroller Lander to address the housing crisis by building safer, more stable, and more affordable homes, and reducing overall housing costs for New Yorkers.

Cedar Grove Recreation Announces Registration For Fall Cross Country
CEDAR GROVE, NJ - Registration for Cedar Grove Fall Cross Country is now open, according to the Cedar Grove Department of Recreation. Limited spots are available for the Fall Cross Country Clinic, which is open to students in grades 1 through 3. The Clinic will be held on Tuesdays from September 17 to October 15 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Cedar Grove Park. NUTLEY, NJ - Another great week of Soccer Camp returns to Nutley's Owens Field next week with Nutley High School Soccer Coach Mike DiPiano. For the past 14 years, DiPiano's coed soccer camp has become a township staple, with many participants eventually going on to play soccer in high school and college. CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE FREE TAPINTO.NET NEWSLETTER As a coach at NHS, DiPiano sent more than 20 girls to play at the college level, and in most cases, the girls started in camp. Many later worked at the camp when they were in high school. The program is coed, for young people in grades 1 to grade 8. EDISON, NJ -The Edison Board of Education is investigating an incident involving an Assistant Principal of Edison High School and members of the Muslim Students Association (MSA). The New Jersey chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-NJ) says Nicole Himmelstein threatened the student members for requesting a joint Ramadan celebration with neighboring schools.
