NYPD: Armed car theft attempt thwarted by complainant on Staten Island’s South Shore

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – An off-duty NYPD officer was arrested Sunday night in Brooklyn, according to authorities. Noe Tattegrain, 37, was taken into custody around 10:30 p.m. He was charged with assault and suspended without pay, according to authorities. Route 3 eastbound remains closed following the tractor trailer crash and fire this morning in Clifton, Passaic County. Route 3 westbound reopened at 5:30 p.m., the NJDOT says. Later tonight, upon completion of the investigation and cleanup, one lane on Route 3 eastbound is expected to reopen.
