Man injured after vehicle rear ends dump truck
A man was injured in a two-vehicle crash in Princeton on Monday, July 1. While exiting Highway 169 on the northbound ramp toward Highway 95, a dump truck was rear-ended. At approximately 10:40 a.m., William Franks, 42, from Stacy, was waiting on the off-ramp from Highway 169 to turn east onto Highway 95 in a 1999 Kenworth Dump Truck, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. ...

DNR officer report June 27
District 10 - Mille Lacs area - CO Victoria Griffith (Isle) spent time following up on ongoing cases. Angling and ATV-riding activities were monitored in the area. Enforcement action was taken on angling violations. - CO Dan Starr (Onamia) took calls of high water and beaver problems. An investigation of a pack of wolves killing cattle was worked on, with efforts to find some vanished calves ongoing. Work planning for upcoming Division priorities was also completed. District 12 - Princeton area - CO Ryan Hanna (Milaca) was on patrol on Little Elk Lake when he noticed a line in the water, but no one was around. A sunfish was cut in half next to the line. During the investigation, Hanna noted illegal bait, extra lines, an unattended line, and fishing without a license.
Princeton’s Seventh Avenue reconstruction underway
Princeton’s Seventh Avanue North has recently begun construction. As of Monday, June 17, the intersection of Seventh Avenue North and 12th Street North will be closed, and the work will begin with general removals. Search warrant leads to arrest of local man on drug charges
Members of the Sherburne County Drug Task Force and Emergency Response Unit executed a search warrant Thursday, June 13 and arrested a Princeton area man after finding drugs and paraphernalia used to package and sell drugs. The warrant was executed at a residence in the 29500 block of 128th Street Northwest in Baldwin Township, according to Sheriff Joel Brott. Investigators discovered more than 37 grams of methamphetamine, scales to weigh drugs, paraphernalia to use drugs, and multiple firearms that the homeowner was ineligible to possess because of previous criminal convictions, Brott said. Investigators arrested Joshua Bennett Byker, 41, and booked him at Sherburne County Jail on charges of drug possession and sales, storing meth in the presence of a child, possessing a firearm when ineligible to do so and child neglect or endangerment.
