Shorter days, cooler weather and colorful leaves on the trees are all signs that autumn is swiftly approaching.

With the season’s arrival also comes various fall festivals around the Princeton area, including the 100 Acre Farmstead’s annual Fall Festival.

Every weekend from Sept. 14 to Oct. 5, the 100 Acre Farmstead will be open to the public for its Fall Festival for people to come visit their animals, enjoy homemade products from the farm, food trucks, hay rides, a corn pit, live music and more.

“We are excited to welcome you back again this year for an amazing fall season,” the 100 Acre Farmstead wrote in a Facebook post.

The event will feature many of the same, well-loved, activities from years past, including hay wagon rides, barrel train rides, a ninja obstacle course, corn pit, rock painting and a nature storybook walking trail. There will also be live music everyday from 1 to 4 p.m.

The farm’s animals will also be around for petting and the opportunity to feed them some treats. The farm welcomed a few new baby animals into the mix this year for people to meet: Tanzi the baby donkey, Lilly and Violet the baby goats, and more.

The 100 Acre Farmstead is the home of the Honey Pot food truck, which will also be open during the Fall Festival for people to enjoy.

Available for purchase during the festival are the farm’s homemade products, including goat milk soap, lotion, tallow balm, whipped honey, fresh baked sourdough and, new this year, My Goodness Kombucha. The farm’s freezer is also stocked with organic meats such as beef, chicken and pork from the farm.

“Your support means the world to our family and it helps us take care of all the sweet animals here on the farm,” the 100 Acre Farmstead wrote. “It also helps us expand to offer you more fun and organic products.”

Open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. every weekend from Sept. 14 to Oct. 5, tickets for the event are $10 per person for ages 3 and up. Bags of feed for the animals are $3 each.

The 100 Acre Farmstead is located at 6360 60th Ave. in Princeton.

Also taking place on the opening weekend of 100 Acre Farmstead’s Fall Festival are two other family friendly events happening in Princeton.

On Saturday, Sept. 14, Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Princeton is hosting a Family Fun Day.

The event will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will feature free popcorn, a bake sale, food vendors, craft vendors, family fun games, a bounce house, drawings every half-hour and a calk walk at 3 p.m.

This event is free to attend at the church’s location at 8938 33rd St.

Moving into Sunday, Sept. 15, the Christ Out Light Catholic Parish in Princeton is hosting its Fall Fest of 2024.

From 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., the event will start with Sunday Mass at 10 a.m., with plenty of fun activities following, including live music, food, games and more than $18,000 in cash prizes through two different raffles.

New this year to the event are bigger prizes for the kids games, a nine-hole mini golf course, Bristle Axe Throwing and Quilts and Crafts.

The Christ Our Light Catholic Parish is located at 804 Seventh Ave. S. in Princeton.
