The Princeton School District is roaring towards its 2024 homecoming celebrations.

The festivities are set for the week of Oct. 7 to 11, with the homecoming football game to take place at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11.

But celebrations will be taking place the entire week leading up to the football game.

The theme of homecoming this year is “Hollywood,” bringing the glitz and glam to the festivities.

Starting on Monday, Oct. 7, the high school student body is invited to dress up as if they just rolled out of bed — whether that be in pajamas, sweatshirts or sweatpants.

Also on Monday is the homecoming coronation ceremony at 2:30 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center.

The top 10 were announced on Thursday, Sept. 26, and now the student body will have time to vote for the homecoming king and queen until the winners are announced.

The top 10 are Evan Marx, Gavin Pierotti, Vincent Zarletti, Cullen Drews, Brody Kok, Kayla Barnwell, Lanie Resendiz, Piper Runde, Larkin Adickes and Sierra Christopher.

Tuesday’s dress-up theme is “Meme Day. Students are encouraged to dress up like their favorite meme — an image, video, piece of text or other similar item that is typically humorous in nature that is replicated and spread rapidly over the internet.

Moving into Wednesday, superheroes will take over the high school as students dress up like their favorite Marvel or DC characters.

Also on Wednesday, Oct. 9, the boys Powderbuff volleyball game will take place at 6 p.m. in the Princeton High School Gym.

Thursday is “Celebrity Day,” wherein students are encouraged to dress up like a well-known celebrity.

To celebrate the day of the homecoming football game, students are asked to dress up in their Tiger pride gear to represent their school.

Also taking place on Friday, Oct. 11, prior to the football game against Hutchinson is the girls Powderpuff football game at 3:30 p.m. at the football stadium.

To close out the homecoming festivities, the Princeton High School homecoming dance will be held from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. in the Princeton High School Tiger Gym.
